Protein Loaded Stewed Black-Eyed Peas
Ingredients:
2 cups of black-eyed peas
1 yellow onion
1 mid-size carrot
1 yellow bell pepper
1 orange bell pepper
Jumbo shrimps
All seasonings
Fresh herbs ( rosemary, dill & mints)
Preparation
Wash & clean your shrimp
Season your shrimp and marinate in the refrigerator as you continue to prep
If using canned black peas, drain and rinse
Instructions
Start by browning your onions
Add the peppers
Add the black-eyed peas & shrimp
Add water or broth to fill one inch of the pot
Let it cook for an hour
You can eat it by itself or serve it on rice.
