THE PROVERBS 31 WOMAN
I was 21 when I was first introduced to her and now I’m "ahem...I know my age". Hey, let’s focus it’s not about my age; you see, it’s about Mrs. Virtuous She remains young and vibrant while I’m still trying to meet her standards. I know that I am not alone; she has intimidated women; sisters, for a long time.
After years of not meeting her standard I finally came up with a strategy. I want to know her secret; to do that we need to go back to where it all started from Proverbs 31.
Demystifying the Proverbs 31 Woman
1. Read Proverbs 31:10 - end
2. Read closely again and try to figure out her secret.
She is described as precious; virtuous; noble; excellent; capable; worthy; energetic; vigilant; hard worker.

Questions To Ask
Did she really exist? Was there one woman who fitted this description?
Can one woman possess all these qualities that was recounted in Proverbs 31:10-31.
The woman in Proverbs 31:10-31; is a prototype; an ideal.
Read Proverbs 31:1. Who started this conversation? King Solomon’s Mother!!! She was painting a portrait of a wife material for her son.
The Prov. 31:10-31 is the model of wife that King Solomon’s Mother wants her son to sought for.
Her Secret:
According to Proverbs 31: 30; She respects the Lord; therefore she loves the Lord. Matthew 22:37.
She did not qualify on the basis of charm and her outward beauty; neither did she qualify with appearance but the fear of the Lord. The revential fear of the Lord helped her to achieve a standard of excellence in every area of her life.
The Conclusion:
Matthew Henry’s Commentary suggests that the passage can also be applicable to the church of God; since the church is described as the Bride of Christ.
There is no need to be intimated by Mrs. Virtuous.
Now; I know that I am not alone. As sisters in Christ, we are not alone in our effort to meet the standard of Mrs. Virtuous; the brothers (the Church as a body) are also advised to strive for this level of excellence; as the bride of Christ. Hallelujah!
For these reasons sisters; do not be discouraged neither feel inferior to anyone. Do not give up. All your hard work and prayers are never in vain; in due season, you will see results. You will be honored and celebrated in Jesus name (amen). Here are some scriptures to meditate on.
