Living Well Spirit, Soul & Body
As we nourish our bodies we should also nourish our soul and spirit. The way I effectively do that is through my faith and believe in Jesus Christ.
I find solace in the scriptures. The Word of God is a light; it enriches the soul; it enlightens our eyes and it quickens our spirit. I pray the word of God; I use the word of God to affirm myself. I share my thoughts on the word on this website. I hope to also consistently share affirmations from the Word of God every month with you.
“For we have the living Word of God, which is full of energy, like a two-mouthed sword. It will even penetrate to the very core of our being where soul and spirit, bone and marrow meet! It interprets and reveals the true thoughts and secret motives of our hearts.”
— Hebrews 4:12
Food is essential to us all. I grew up on the typical Nigerian diet, which is heavy in carbs.
As I explore my health and wellbeing, I at a point felt I had to steer away from the food I grew up on to be healthy.I am learning that this is not entirely true. I can enjoy the rich tasty food of my West African heritage and also learn to consume them in a way that is nourishing to my body. I have also borrowed from so many cultures to arrive at where I’m at today.
It has been a journey for me but I am here.
So I invite you to try some of these recipes and let me know how you like them. The totality of our health and well being is not just with food but as we all know it is much more than that.
Truly one of the most difficulty things to do is being active or to put it better exercising; at least for me.
